Now that your braces are off–smile and do these few things to maintain your smile for life.
Wear your retainers
as directed for as long as you want to keep your teeth straight.
Initially, you may
find it difficult to speak with your retainers in. Practice
speaking, reading or singing aloud to get used to them faster.
Always bring your
retainers to your appointments.
Daily clean retainers with toothbrush and Dawn® dish-soap or other anti-bacterial soap. It's okay to use warm but NO HOT water. Thoroughly rinse with water or mouthwash afterwards. This will remove tartar buildup and help eliminate odors.
Soak retainers weekly in Retainer Brite®, Efferdent® or mixture of 2 ounces distilled white vinegar and 6 ounces of water, but this DOES NOT take the place of brushing.
Retainers should ALWAYS be stored in their case and placed out of pets' reach. Pets love to chew on them!
Keep retainers away from hot water, car dashboards, pockets, washing machines, and napkins.
when swimming and playing sports.
Contact us if you have any questions or concerns about your retainers OR if you feel they need adjusting. Please DO NOT try to modify them yourself.
Amazing smiles must be maintained. Teeth have a tendency to move from ideal position. Good retainer habits will keep you smiling for life.

Great smile. Great lifestyle. Great benefits for you.
With crooked teeth increased dental plaque buildup is common. Bacterial proliferation between teeth increases potential for gum disease and can lead to heart problems. Straight teeth eases hygiene and can improve your health.
Your smile is one of the first things people notice when meeting you. A smile is a big part of making a first impression. A smiling face tells people that you’re positive, outgoing and worth getting to know.
Emotions are contagious. When you smile your brain releases endorphins and serotonin which improves mood and relieves stress. Smiling makes you feel better inside and appear more attractive to others.
